We are in the surgical waiting room and his surgeon just came out and told us everything went well. Ryan is on his way back up to the SICU. He will most likely be groggy the next few hours. They will watch him closely they next few days to make sure the shunt is working properly and that his abdomen appears to be absorbing the CSF.

ReplyDeleteOur family had great fun and sent lots of healing thoughts to Ryan. Our little Anna, all of four years, wanted to run the whole way, but had to 'wait up' for the rest of the family! Thank you to the great organizers - all gathered in spirit for Ryan and the Creedens.

I'm glad the surgery went well. Yesterday was such a great day! All the organizers who pulled together to put on such a wonderful event deserve a big pat on the back. What a tribute to Ryan and the Creedens!
