Saturday Infection
Ryan is status quo. No better no worse. The cultures came back from his tap and he does have an infected abscess so he is on a new antibiotic so hopefully that will take care of it. Other than that nothing else has really changed. His vitals appear to be ok. His abdomen is still very swollen. He sweats a lot but his temp has not gone above 100.3 in a few days so that is good.

Thanks for the update, Cerissa. Thinking of you all this weekend, and sending lots of love and prayers....some sun broke through on the Cape today - thought of Ryan right away....perhaps a good sign!

Ryan is a fighter, he is strong, he has been through so much....He just needs a break, seems like were they fix one problem there is another right behind...You all must be so exaused....I wish I could send some strengh your way...I am waiting for Ryan to start moving forward and starting the climb to recovery...Hope it starts soon....xoxo M & L & C....May the universe send you the strengh you need to carry on....XOXO

ReplyDeleteThere was a very encouraging story about Bob Woodruff (the NBC Anchor who sustained a massive head injury in Iraq) in People magazine this week that made me think of Ryan. Although these details were not in the story (I remember them from earlier reports on his condition) he also was in a coma for a while, had several surgeries, and had a part of his skull removed and later put back on. Now it is over three years later and his wife says that she finally has her husband back. Miracles do happen! It's Ryan's turn now.
