Wed Agitated Evening

Ryan became very agitated this evening. They are not sure why exactly. There was some leakage on his johnny so they changed his catheter. There was some blood on it so they sent it out for testing. The new catheter appeared to be draining fine but Ryan was still very agitated. They gave him so pain medication which helped for awhile. The docs decided to stop his jtube feedings again. They also gave him a sedation medication for the evening to see if that helps. Tomorrow they will reevaluate. It is very difficult right now to figure out if Ryan is in pain and if so from what. His temp and vitals seemed to be ok. There is always the possibility that he is entering the confusional agitated state of coma but how can you tell the difference with all the other problems he has going on. Who knows. Time will tell I guess.....
