Thursday was a good day 5/21 today ok so far

Ryan had a pretty good day yesterday. No additional problems emerged so that is always good. He was not nearly as agitated as the night before. The doctors are not sure what the agitation was from..could have been many things. It seems Ryan's digestive tract is working better now. They started his jtube feedings again yesterday afternoon so we will continue to see how that goes. They clamped his NG tube most of yesterday as they would like to take that out soon but do not want to do it too quickly in case he vomits again. Ryan had his eyes open most of yesterday although I could not get him to focus on me or track anything. He was moving his right leg quite a bit. He also was moving his right arm more. It is very hard fro him to move it as all his joints are so tight but he kept trying. The nurses said he has a good night last night (meaning no problems). My mom is on her way in soon.

    This sounds very encouraging. It seems like most of the health problems and infections Ryan has had are better now.
    Hopefully everything will start to go smoothly from here on and Ryan's recovery will continue without any further obstacles.

    Sounds good Cerissa. Seems like he is a classic case of two steps forward and one step back. But, he is making progress and I am sure once they rid him of his infections and get the feedings right for him. The rest will follow. But, please remember, it will be baby steps and that is the safest for Ryan.
