Fluids returned and visits

Unfortunately the fluids have returned which is not a great sign. Now the fluids are everywhere around his lungs, liver, pancreas, stomach you name it. They are going to test the fluids this morning for infection and keep an eye on it for the next few days. They are not sure where the fluids are coming from at this point. They do not feel they should have another abdomen surgery as the surgeon does not feel he will heal from the procedure. They had a difficult time closing him up after the second one and they do not feel another one will help at this point.

As we do not know what is going to happen, if you want to visit Ryan please do but do NOT go if you have been sick or think you might be getting sick. Also please wash your hands before you touch him at all. He is in the SICU at South Shore Hospital email me if you have questions or call Thanks

  5. I am only hoping for good news. I may not know you all that well but after a year or more of dealing with this with my mom, the exact same thing with fluid accumulation, I can only offer empathy and a listening ear. Good luck and stay strong. sarah sylvia
