The surgeon came in to let us know that Ryan made it through the surgery ok. He confirmed that the gtube was not in correctly which was causing all of the problems.
We are in the waiting room waiting to see him. Several quarts of fluid were found in his abdomen. They had to put a j tube in now which is a feedtube that goes directly to his small intestine instead of to his stomach.
They think his diaphragm was surrounded with so much fluid which was making it hard for him to breath and this appears to be a little better already.
He will be coming down from the anestethia so we will see how he does. He will most likely be here for a few days. Tomorrow they will slowly drip in some saline into his new feedtube as he has not had food for awhile now.
Ryan is still fighting....tough guy as he was in so much pain.
