Thurs Update

Ryan is settling in at Braintree and my folks are settling in back home.

We are going to start to have a few family members and a few close friends start to visit Ryan soon. We will let everyone know when it is ok to visit him more. Braintree has informed us that too many visitors might be too much for Ryan right now.

We want to ease him into the visitation process. Sometimes too much noise or attention can be overstimulating for him which can cause agitation and frustration. Sometimes when it is just the three of us in the room with him you can see he gets agitated. (Probably from me getting too excited when he moves-Regina I am trying to keep a calm low voice :) ).

Once we we do have more people come please be respectful of a few things:
1) If you are sick or have a cold or have been near someone who was sick, PLEASE do NOT come and visit Ryan until you are better. He is still vulnerable and we do not want to chance any additional problems.

2) Make sure your hands are clean when you do visit (there is antibacterial soap outside of his room).

3)Please do NOT take any pictures of Ryan as we want to respect his privacy.

4)Try to go into his room with only 2 people at a time. Try to have only one person talk at a time. It can be confusing to someone in his condition if there are too many voices or noises around in the room.

PLEASE feel free to ask us any questions. We are learning along the way as well.
You can bring music or pictures if you want. Or any other things that may help remind Ryan of things from home.
