Mon 3/16 Update

Ryan had another cat scan today which showed he has some additional fluid on his brain that the doctors will continue to watch over the next few days. At this point they are not going to do anything about it. We met with the Nuero APRN today and she cannot predict what Ryan's outcome will be at this point. They cannot tell if he will regain function or not and if he does they cannot say how impaired he may be. Time will tell.

Ryan had PT again today which seemed to go well. He is still not opening his eyes on command or doing anything else on command. However, late this afternoon we did see him move his right arm again which appeared to be purposeful to us. He did not lift it like he did yesterday but he did lift the same finger and moved his arm in an attempt to lift it. His eyes would also open throughout the day but he does not appear to be tracking us (following us with his eyes). No other updates to report at this time. Thanks again for all the support!!!

  3. Cerissa,
Thank you for the updates. The doctors reports sound sooo familiar. Glad to see the baby steps of improvement in Ryan. They are familiar as well! Laura had pt and occupational therapy while she was in the coma too. Ryan is Blessed to have you all with him. Holding you close to my heart and in my prayers.
