Wed 3/11 Update
Today was a "better" day for Ryan. Overall there is not much change in his awareness. However the doctor's did remove both of the drains from his head. PT came in to do an assessment and had him sitting up with the back brace on for about 11 minutes (he was unconscious the entire time). He is NOT responding to any commands at this point. His eyes open spontaneously but he is not able to see or track anything. The nurses say that although his eyes are open at times "noone is home". Even though his eyes open he is still in a coma. The waiting continues.
